ABOUT ME
I have served in the U.S.Army and Army Reserve and as a small-town Police Officer.  I have also worked in executive security, armed security and as a private investigator.  In between I worked as a meat-carver in a restruant, a pizza delivery driver, and executive assistant to the presidents of Corporate Banking at Citicorps, a courier for an international currency exchange, an illustrator, a receptionist, a tobacconist, and IPSC shooter, a fight-choreographer, a writer, a self-defense instructor and studied (and now teach) historic European martial arts.  Since 1992 I have been a full-time maker of swords, knives and daggers primarily in the style of the European Middle Ages and Viking era. (I come by the nick-name 'Tinker' honestly!)

I am active in animal rescue, collect classic sports cars (though that collection has sadly become the victim of hard times,) read science-fiction, fantasy, mysteries and techno-thrillers.  I continue to research swords and nearly everything to do with them.  I have written a book about modern swords (which you nshould buy and read naturally) called, 'The Medieval Sword in the Modern World.'  Available from Lulu.com.

I currently live in Seattle Washington with my lovely and infinitely patient wife Linda and our many- mostly rescued- dogs and cats.
